Installing replacement basement windows — Durham, NC

Last updated: September 24, 2026

What affects the price

Replacing your windows involves a few moving parts that shift the total. The biggest factor is the frame material—vinyl is usually the most budget-friendly, while wood or fiberglass typically runs higher. You’ll also see price changes based on the type of glass, like double or triple panes, and any specialized coatings for energy efficiency. The number of windows, the complexity of the installation, and whether you need custom sizing will also play a role in your final quote. Exact pricing confirmed free on the call.

About this service

Replacing basement windows involves removing old, often rusted or wooden frames and installing modern, energy-efficient units. You should consider this if your current windows leak, let in cold drafts, or show signs of rot. New basement windows are typically designed to be moisture-resistant and can improve your home's insulation and security. We assess the wall material and window dimensions to ensure a proper, weather-tight fit that keeps your basement dry and comfortable throughout the year.
